Lindsay + Ryan = Wedding

Lindsay and Ryan  exchanged life long commitments on Sept 11 2010 and  Walnut Beach Resort was the gorgeous location for the entire affair. The men lounged by the pool until an hour before the ceremony, while the women were in their suite getting hair and makeup done,  laughing, giggling and reminiscing.

When their son, Jack, woke up from his nap, it was time for the show to begin. Everyone got dressed in their finest, Lindsay made sure to tuck in her handkerchief, and put on her pearl earrings. Little Jack got his boutonnière pinned on, and we were ready to roll.  Jack has a condition known as Sturge-Weber Syndrome, so instead of asking for wedding gifts, the couple made donations to the Sturge-Weber Foundation, which I thought was amazing!

Ryan walked down the aisle pulling Jack behind him in a wagon… and the two of them took their places, waiting for the woman of their life to join them.  After the ceremony, the three of them flipped a “Just Married” Sign on the back of the wagon, and strolled back down the aisle.  Everybody loved it! :)

The pictures went awesome! As usual Jen Sander had them climbing over everything but the kitchen sink to get a great shot, and it definitely paid off!

Jennifer + Adrien = Wedding

Jennifer and Adrien exchanged their vows on Sept 5 at The Cove Lakeside Resort, in Westbank.  The day was beautiful, the couple, glowing.

Yet again,  I second shot for the wonderful Jenifer Sander. to who I  have to give a quick shoutout:  Thank you thank you thank you. Jen has let me assist on more than a few weddings this year, and I’ve learned A TON. So Thank You!

The location at the resort was gorgeous. Manicured lawns, beautiful beach front, and Jen… she takes the bridal party 3 blocks away to a heritage park that was partly burnt down a few years ago…  She loves mixing the rough nitty gritty location.. with the beauty of a dressed up bridal party.    Jen and Adrien were more than a little skeptical, but I’m sure they are more than happy with the result. The pictures turned out amazing!   * Always trust the proffessionals!

Then,  we headed back to the resort to shoot some more “traditional” portraits.

Thanks to Jen and Adrien for allowing us to spend the day with them! I had so much fun getting to know you, and wish you nothing but the best.

Kelsey + Mark = Wedding

Kelsey and Mark celebrated their HUGE portuguese wedding at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Osoyoos. Every one of the 300 guest was there to celebrate the couples special day. Sep 4, 2010 was a day of love, laughter and the promise of a beautiful future.

The day was hot. The church’s air conditioning broke the week before, but we were promised that it would be fixed by the day of the wedding. Although it definitely wasn’t hot inside, it also wasn’t cool. The hour-long Catholic wedding did see a few people removing coats, and fanning themselves.  Everyone endured though, to see the couple exchange vows, sing hymns, and finally seal their love with a kiss!   It was a truly beautiful ceremony.

The bridal party was amazing!  Yet again, Jen Sander, of Jenifer Sander Photography  made them treck up and down a mountain for phenomenal shots! Good thing the couple knows what they’re getting into hehe. Jen loves shooting in the rugged outdoors, and mixing the classically beautiful, with the not so perfect environment. The shots she creates, are amazing, and I’m glad to have been a part of  it.  I just feel sorry for the poor women in their high heels hehe.

Either way, the bridal party was amazing!  They didn’t complain once, and laughed and joked throughout the entire bridal party shoot.

The couple’s entrance  into the reception was definitely one of a kind! I loved it, and the guests  loved it too!  The couples entered one at time, the men wearing Sombrero’s and the women holding fans.  They came into the middle  of the dance floor and started dancing in a circle, clapping their hands and stomping their feet…. building up the momentum for Kelsey and Mark’s grand entrance.    The curtain was pulled back, and Kelsey and Mark ran into the room.  Mark was  wearing a full Spanish Matador outfit!!!   The bridal party then did a choreographed dance to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, ” I like big butts” and “The chicken Dance”  just to name a few!    The guests erupted into cheers, and peels of laughter after it was all done.

The day was definitely filled with love, laughter and the promise of a beautiful future.
